About the Job

A Senior Account Manager is required for one of the world\'s largest content delivery network (CDN) firms.​ This US CDN company has aggressive growth plans in the UK and Europe.​ The successful senior account manager will have a background in network solutions or IP related products and services.​ Preference is for the senior account manager to speak either German, French or Spanish.​

The Senior Account Manager will be growing the strategic client segment.​ The successful senior Account Manager will use this position to accelerate his/​her know-how and experience in the industry in an effort to take advantage of the many advancement opportunities in a fast moving and growing business:

Key responsibilities

•     Handle our largest EU clients, ensuring that all client needs are met and expectations are exceeded
•     Manages Forecasting and up-selling opportunities and reporting accurately to the management
•     Manage the activation of new services for clients
•     Working closely together with the Sales Rep as well as on his/​her own in a Farmer and Hunter role in order to grow existing customer basis and grow Revenue.​
•     Renewal and expansion of existing contracts
•     Serve as a key point of contact and liaison between clients and various departments within the company
•     Liaising on Customer C-Level
•     Understand the business requirements of clients
•     Identify opportunities for additional products and services within account base in order to grow market share and revenue
•     Present new and enhanced products and services to clients where appropriate.​


•     Bachelor\'s degree, preferably with a major in Business or Communications
•     Experience in a strategic account management role
•     Experience in the CDN industry is preferable but not a must
•     Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple client requests simultaneously, and prioritize appropriately
•     Strong sales and project management skills
•     Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate efficiently within all levels of a client’s organization, as
well as internally
•     Foreign languages requested.​ If none of the below is given the candidate needs to demonstrate longevity in the industry:
- English/​German
- English/​French
•     Process oriented and at least somewhat technically inclined
•     Must possess excellent people and relationship building skills
•     Must be able to work effectively within a team environment
•     Must maintain a high degree of integrity and ethical behavior in all business activities and decisions
•     Travel will be required
